A refined, lightweight, versatile, interior paneling kit that has everything you need and nothing that you don’t. The kit goes together in less than a day, so you can spend less time building and more time adventuring!

Our wall & ceiling panels are CNC cut and professionally upholstered. This interior panel kit is designed for a perfect fit and is bolted into the frame of your van using nearly all stock holes.

Due to the uneven nature of the transit van, this kit includes steel wall and ceiling reinforcement throughout the van that will also help you mount your cabinets and accessories. These do not install into stock holes and we recommend the use of a rivet gun to install.

Our kit features 1/8” upholstery foam behind the fabric to give a plush feel and reduce noise in your van. It also has a 1/4” reflective foam insulation backing, creating a radiant barrier, as well as, a thermal break from the hot/cold metal of the van. No other kit has this much intrinsic insulation! Pair our kit with one of our pre-cut insulation kits and you will have one of the most insulated vans in town!

Our Interior Panel Kit includes wall panels, ceiling panels, over-the-slider-door trim, corbels (the corner where the wall meets the headliner), rear door panels, slider door panel, and rear D-pillar trim. It does not include the middle window panels for the back doors or the slider door.

We know every DIY project is different, which is why we do not include insulation, wiring harness, fan or other accessories and we sell everything a-la-carte. That way you aren't paying for things you don't need!

Let us help you make the perfect selections:

Want something easier to clean? Select the Sunbrella® Horizon® fabric option for an easy to wipe down surface! Need something even more durable down low for dogs or cargo? Select the Black Hexaply lower panels for a pvc coated-textured back finish below the L-track.

Have a roof vent or air conditioner?  It is quite easy to cut in openings for fans and AC units, because the trim ring covers up your cut lines. We do not offer any pre-cut openings because there is no stock location on the Transit.

Speaking of cutting openings, we only offer the opening that are the same every time. If you want to add 10x33 bunk windows you will want to order the Flatline Van Co. Bunk Window Trim so you can cut the openings wherever your window lands.

Use the provided Riv-nuts and L-track to mount all your cabinets and accessories, as well as, other AVW components!

Mounting a bed? Our kit is compatible with Flatline Van Co. Bed Platforms to mount to the L-track and is often used with Van Wife Components bed platforms although you will need to add more rivnuts to mount the J-channel as it does not work with L-track.

Transit Mid-Roof coming soon!

Installation

BEGIN INSTALLING YOU PANELING KIT BY INSTALLING THE HORIZONTAL L TRACK

  • Starting on the driver's side, hold the L track or a straight edge up to the wall and draw a line connecting all of the small 1 18-inch holes in the body of the van. Once you've done this, slip the L track behind the B pillar plastic and fasten it into place with some self-tapping screws. Do this with two screws per section to keep it in place while you mark the rivnut locations.
  • Installing your L Track will determine the fit of the whole rest of your kit. Take time to make sure they're aligned with the eighth-inch body holes.
  • Mark each end hole and then every other hole in the track. If there's a void where you're trying to put a rivnut, use the adjacent hole.
  • Drill out each rivnut hole for the L Track, being careful not to make the hole too large. If you drill a hole too large, the rivnut won't bite the metal and you'll get what's called a Spinner, which is extremely hard to deal with.
  • Prime the holes, and then install rivnuts in each one using a rivnut tool.
  • Bolt on the L track, but do not over tighten the bolts.
  • Align the spacer strips with the hump at the bottom of the ceiling ribs on the wall. Use the self-tapping screws to fasten the spacers in place.
  • At the back of the van, do not bring the spacer strips all the way to the D pillar. It should end in the cavity just before the D pillar, otherwise the wall will be pushed out.
  • Install the aluminum angle along the top corners as close to the edge as possible using 3M VHB tape. Make sure any joints land on the ceiling ribs so that they're supported. The aluminum angle is only there to keep the ceiling panels from bowing. Do not install the aluminum angle over the sliding door or it will be visible.
  • Hold each panel up to its final location and drop it into the L track flange. This will show you which holes need to be drilled or reamed out. When installing your panels, make sure that the seam aligns with the seam in the C pillar.
  • Use a pen to mark the holes that need to be reamed out.
  • Pop the v filler trim loose so that you can install the front wall panel.
  • On the ceiling, hold up the panel to see which holes need to be reamed out.
  • Mark all of your rivnuts and cut all of your holes for windows and roof vents. Using a step bit, ream out all of the marked holes. Prime and install rivnuts.
