The sliding window has 3 locking positions, and also locks in the closed position. The opening closes flush with the surrounding glass, and the seal prevents anything getting in.

They will also fit Sprinters that did not originally come with side windows. You will need to cut out the window blank.
If you don't currently have side windows on your Sprinter, you'll also need the inner seals that cover up the "pinch weld".
